4 Star Review – Chasing Destiny (Silver Tip Pack #2) by Megan Erickson

Some live on memories…

Almost dying during a pack uprising has a way of shaking things up. I’m no longer Mr. Laid Back now that there’s an itch under my skin I can’t scratch.

On a volunteer mission that goes beyond the walls of our compound, we enter the territory of a pack long thought dead, and find ourselves on the business end of their spears.

What I’m not prepared for is what I find within their walls—The one shifter I never thought I’d see alive, the one I’d mourned twice, the one I’d always loved. He is alive, and if I have anything to do with it, he’ll stay that way. But he’s got secrets, and exposing them could lead us to an enemy worse than the bloodthirsty undead shifters wanting to kill us all…

Megan Erickson is back with the second book in the Silver Tip Pack series and for all the readers who fell for Bay in Daring Fate….this book is most definitely for you.

I was so excited to dive back into the pack again with Chasing Destiny and it didn’t disappoint for one minute. From the opening lines to the last I was hooked by the story and the more I got into it, the further down the rabbit hole of a new dystopian world that Megan Erickson has created I fell.

I will happily admit that while I read paranormal books, I’m not really into shifter books. There have been a few I’ve enjoyed, but this series is like a jolt to my system when I pick it up. I can’t get enough.

I was amongst the many who wanted to read Bay’s love story. Even though I knew it would probably break my heart to read it. I NEEDED it. And after devouring it, I wasn’t wrong. It dragged my heart all over the damn place, maybe stomped on it a couple of times for good measure but I finished it with a happy grin and knowing I wanted more of this series.

So much happens and comes out in this book, it’s sometimes hard to keep up ( I kept going back and re-reading pages because I couldn’t believe what had just happened, especially one scene with the pit, wow) but it’s so worth it to see Nash reunited with Bay and his pack after so very long.

This is normally where I would gush about Bay’s boo Nash but I don’t think I can without giving spoilers away so I’ll leave it at OMG Nash is awesome and I want to hug the furry beast so bad. Now HE broke my heart and okay mended it too.

What I really need to say is that Chasing Destiny is a wild ride and one that should not be missed by shifter fans. Hell by paranormal fans as a whole. It’s fabulous.

Megan Erickson is a USA Today bestselling author of romance that sizzles. Her books have a touch of nerd, a dash of humor, and always have a happily ever after. A former journalist, she switched to fiction when she decided she likes writing her own endings better.

She lives in Pennsylvania with her very own nerdy husband and two kids. Although rather fun-sized, she’s been told she has a full-sized personality. When Megan isn’t writing, she’s either lounging with her two cats named after John Hughes characters or… thinking about writing.
